Tryouts for the 2012-2013 travel season have been scheduled. Please see below for the age group designations and schedule. For further information or to ask a question, contact Brian Benbrook at bbenbrook@optimum.net

Players and parents should arrive about 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled time to register. Please familiarize yourself with the JSC travel policies and download a tryout registration form to bring to the tryout:

JSC Travel Policies

Have the player dressed to play soccer: Shin guards, cleats (if you have them), bring a properly inflated ball.

Dress comfortably and do not wear your travel team uniform.

Bring water to drink. Gatorade and other colored drinks are not permitted on the turf fields.

Please insure that you tryout for the appropriate age group for the coming season. The age groups are:

The JSC is looking for at least 2 coaches to take out U7 Boys and Girls Travel teams for Fall 2012/Spring 2013 seasons. These teams will be for boys and girls born August 1, 2005 thru July 31, 2006.

We are also looking for coaches interested in taking out second teams in the U8 Boys and Girls age groups. These teams will be for boys and girls born August 1, 2004 thru July 31, 2005

If you have soccer coaching experience at the Recreational or Travel level and have an F- or E-level coaching license (or will get one soon), please contact Brian Benbrook at bbenbrook@optimum.net for an application.

Online registration for the Fall 2012 Recreation Season will be open from June 1 through July 15. In person registration is scheduled for June 2 and June 9 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM near Justice Complex Shed #3 (near Field 1). Details will follow shortly.

The JSC Board currently has an open position for the Registrar (open for appointment).  We are looking for a person that is very well organized, has regular access to email, and in addition to board meetings can apply their skills during the bi-annual peak times for registration.  If you are interested, contact an Executive Board member for further information.

The Job Description for this Board Member is:

The Registrar shall be responsible for all actions required for the registration of players for the Recreation and Peanut Development Programs.  This shall include scheduling registration dates, collecting and processing the registration forms and fees, collecting volunteer work forms, and updating the player databases.

 The Jackson FireBalls recently won their U8 Age Group for the Bob Smith Indoor League, with a record of 10-0-0.
