Financial Assistance from JSC

Jackson Soccer Club aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience to every athlete, regardless of their financial circumstances, and promotes the positives of team sports.

The Jackson Soccer Club offers assistance to a limited number of families who have a financial hardship in regard to the payment of Registration. Assistance can take the form of funds awarded or modified payment plans to spread out the burden. All assistance is based on financial need/hardship. The awarding of funds is determined solely by a financial assistance committee appointed by the Board of Directors. The committee acts on the board’s behalf and has the authority to award aid as it sees fit. The fund for financial aid is subsidized by donations and club fundraising efforts.  To be eligible for financial assistance players must be registered in the system for either Travel or Intramural.

All information obtained from this application is held in strict confidence and will only be reviewed by the Financial Assistance Committee. The primary criteria for evaluation will be the family’s eligibility/participation in the Free/Reduced lunch program. If there are circumstances where your child or children are not enrolled in this program, please submit a letter with the application explaining your situation. Please provide as much information as possible to justify your request.

Request Procedures:
  1. All hardship requests must be submitted through our online form. No requests will be taken by email or word of mouth.
  2. The application for financial assistance is always open but is determined by the amount of money available.  This includes new players joining teams mid year. It is important to apply early!
  3. All families who receive financial assistance are required to give back to the program by volunteering a minimum of 10 hours of time during each season that they receive aid. Recipients unwilling or unable to help out will affect their ability to get help in the future.
  4. It is the belief of the board that everyone can afford something. Full financial aid is rare. All players are expected to register with the club online registration site following tryouts to secure their spot on the team. If the player is unable to make the first payment, then the team can make the payment for them so the player can register. If the team wishes to collect the fee from the player, that is up to them. Players not registered in the online system will not be eligible for any financial assistance.
  5. Funds are limited and based on the number of registrations and donations.
  6. Assistance is not guaranteed every year. Families must apply each year for any players that are in need. JSC cannot make any promises in regard to financial aid in the future. It is solely the committee’s decision to award money year to year.
  7. Financial aid money is credited off the back end of registration. Financial Aid will be awarded in full or partial amounts, or may be rejected. Payment plans may be approved by the Committee on a case by case basis.
  8. Financial Aid will take the place of the Sibling discounts should there be additional family members in the club.
  9. Financial aid awarded is applied to tuition only. No aid will be awarded to cover the cost of uniforms, camps, travel costs or variable fees for additional events in which a team participates.
